Comparison between the presentation of character in Medusa and Hunchback in the Park:
Similarities:
v Both characters appear to be outcasted or mistreated by others for their appearance- a sense of loneliness and feeling misunderstood. Foe example: “A solitary Mister” “So better by far for me if you were stone”.
v Both have animalistic features- The Hunchback is described to be alike to a dog, whereas Medusa is more alike to a snake as she is a Gorgon- “Hissed and spat on my scalp” “Old dog sleeper.”
