Disruption of attachment

SEPARATION 

The short term effects of separation is PDD - protest, despair and detachment. The baby begins by crying and screaming when the caregiver leaves. It then goes on to subside its anger, but reject comfort from other people. The child later joins in with othee people, but is wary of the relationship. They also reject or move away from or take no notice of the caregiver when they enter the room.

This reaction was found out by an observation by the robertsons on a 17 month old residential toddler mamed ohn.
