Time lag = the delay between peak rainfall & peak discharge
Storm Flow = is the water that arrives in the river via surface runoff
Rising Limb = when discharge is increasing
Falling Limb = when discharge is decreasing
Peak discharge = maximum amount of discharge
Peak rainfall = maximum amount of rainfall
River regime = consistently changing amount of discharge
Baseflow = is a portion of the stream flow that is not runoff
