Are you starting an exam course this year? Year nine students around the country will soon have to choose the subjects they are going to study for their GCSE exams in just over two years time. Certain subjects are so important that everyone has to study them. These compulsory subjects are English, maths and science. Most students also study a foreign language and Information Technology (IT) Other choices are history, geography, art, drama and theatre studies, economics and music but there are also 'new' subjects like Tourism, Business Studies and design. In some schools students can do Latin or Greek. However, this isn't very common.
