Kinetics is the study of factors that affect rates of chemical reaction
Collision Theory - Most collisions between molecules or other particles do not always lead to reaction. They either do not have enough energy, or they are in the wrong orientation.
Factors that affect the rate of chemical reactions:
- Increasing the temperature - Particles have more kinetic energy, leading to an increase in speed, meaning more collisions.
- Increase concentration - More particles in a given volume, more collisions likely to happen.
