How secondary activity has changed in the Uk since 1964:
Agriculture in the primary sector has started to decline. This can be because;
- Increased use of chemicals
- Development of larger, more specialist farms
- Increase in part time workers so less employment, less people working on farms
Mining in the primary sector has also declined. This may be because;
- Lots of mineral deposits are exhausted
- Damages the environment
- More machines used so less people needed
