AIDS - Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. 

Not a disease, a collection of symptoms and or opportunistic diseases. 

AIDS is caused by the weaking of the immune system by the HIV virus.

A person diagnosed with AIDS has shown one or more "indicator illnesses" based on results a blood test. 

Transmission of the HIV virus can take place via: 

- Blood

- Semen

- Vaginal Secretion

- Breast milk.
