CONVERSATION OF MASS
The total mass of products must equal the total mass of reactants.
RELATIVE FORMULA MASS (Mr)
Is the sum of all the relative atomic masses (Ar) of the atoms in the chemical formula.
a) Mgcl2 Ar (Mg) = 24 Ar (Cl) = 35.5
Mr (MgCl2) = 24 + (2 x 35.5) = 95
