• Investigates how recognisable internal and external features are.
• Argues that Internal features provide more accurate recognition of familiar faces
• But External features aid recognition of unfamiliar faces
• Witnesses describe external features first / best, however they try to recognise familiar faces and rely on internal features to identify them.
• 

Aim:

To investigate the recognisability of internal and external features of composite faces; the prediction that internal features are harder to recognise.
