Blood vessels

Arteries - bloody away from the heart, think muscular walls, blood travels fast at high pressure, oxygenated blood - except pulmonary artery, no valves!!!

capillaries - go inside tissues and exchange materials with the cells, very thin walls (1 cell thick), blood cells travel in single file - allow exchange, both types blood present, no valves!!

veins - blood to the heart, thin less muscular walls, blood travels slow - low pressure, deoxygenated blood, except pulmonary vein, valves present!!!
