The movement of gases and liquids from a high concentration to a low concentration.

Down the concentration gradient.

Passive - Doesnt need extra energy

Animals:

--> Oxegon diffuses from the alveoli into blood stream (need oxegon for respiration.) Carbon dioxide diffuses from the blood stream into the alveoli because it is a waste product.

Plants:

--> Oxegon and carbon dioxide diffuse in and out of the stomata (for respiration…
