Biological approach

The Biological approach is strongly on the natre side of the nature vs nurture debate. This is because they believe that our genetics determine what we look like and the behaviours that we perform. they use lab experiments as their method to gain data. These are good as they are highly scientific and you can manipulate the variables and have a high level of control. However they are lack in the area of ecological validity. They are done in an artificial setting and therefore do not represent something that we would do in real life.

Tyron conducted a study to see if intelligence is passed on down through genetics. he put a group of Rats through a maze. He labelled the rats as either maze dull or maze bright. He then bred the Rats of the same intelligence and observed their offsprings ability in the maze. he found that the rats whose parents were good in the maze were
