Anxiety is a sense of fear/worry that someone experiences when they think something unpleasant is going to happen.

Elizabeth Loftus (1979) - When a weapon is used, witnesses tend to focus attention on it and fail to notice other important details. Such as the criminals face.

Participants were asked to identify the person holding the pen/knife from 50 photos.

The condition with the person holding the pen showed better eyewitness testimony. This is because the participants were not distracted by the presence of a weapon (knife).
