Animal and Plant Cells
- Most human cells are like most other animal cells and contain a nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, ribosomes and mitochondria.
- Plant and algae cells contain all the structure that most human and animal cells do but also usually contain a permenant vacuole and a cell wall as well as chloroplasts.
Stucture and Function:
- Nucleus: the nucleus holds all DNA as well as 'instructions' on how to make new cells/organisms. Also the nucleus controls the activities of the cell.
