Eva Smith (Daisy Renton)
- Eva Smith is the reason for all the aciton and drama in the play and although we never meet her in person, she is one of the main focuses of the play.
- Her role is to represent all of the working class who have been treated wrongly."One Eva Smith has gone but there are millions and millions and millions of Eva Smiths and John Smiths still left eith us," the commoness of her name reliterates this point. By repeating the word "millions" three times it begins to give an idea of how many people in need there are and it makes the audience help too and do what they can.
- "she changed her name to Daisy Renton." here Priestley is showing that it doesn't matter who Eva Smith is or what…
