X-Rays

X-Rays= Very Short Wavelength

Cause Ionisation- knocking off of electrons in cells can cause cancer.

X-rays affect photographic film the same way light does.

Metal and bone absorb x-rays.

When having an x-ray, your arm is put on a photographic film and x-rays are emitted at it. The parts of the arm the x-rays cant travel through, stay white.

CT Scans

Takes multiple x-rays around the whole person.

Produces a 3D image.

You can distinguish between hard and soft tissue.

Safety- Lead Sheliding. The lead absorbs the x-rays.
