Using less energy is also a cost saving.Competitive edge and image- having a ‘green’ reputation is good for a company’s image and business. Customers who care about the environment choose travel and tourism businesses that they know have polices on sustainability. For instance, some airlines offer carbon offsetting for flights.

Inbound- people who travel to the uk for tourism purposes are inbound tourists.

Specialist – adventure tourism- outdoor activities, health- visiting a spa, education- going on a day trip to study and language,  dark tourism- visiting a place where a disaster has happened,  voluntary work- combining a holiday with charity activity and eco-tourism- a type of tourism that conserves the environment.

Civil aviation authority (CAA)- the organisation has the role of ensuring that uk airlines , airports and national air traffic services (NATS) comply with regulations of aviation, particularly those relating to health and safety.

Office of rail regulation (ORR) - the office of regulation is independent safety and economic regulator for Britain’s railway.  It has to make sure that they industry meets regulations.

Association of British travel agents (ABTA)-   is the Association of British Travel Agents and members are bonded, so that any money you pay to them is protected if they go out of business. Some tour operators are also members of ABTA. Not all travel agents are members of ABTA but this doesn't mean that your money isn't safe.
