Schizophrenia

Person loses touch with reality.

Behaviour is at extreme opposites e.g From a coma like daze to being bizarre and hyperactive.

May last for a month or longer without treatment.

Erratic behaviour, incoherant speech, childish behaviour, innappropriate giggling and inability to feel pleasure.

Develops in young adulthood.

Bizarre emotional responses and rambling.

The most common type of schizophrenia.

Dominated by hallucinations and delusions of persecution.

May be episodic with partial remissions.
