The public element- AG v PYA Quarries- 'materialy affects the reasonable comfort and convenience of life of a class of Her Majestys subjects.'

Who can sue? Becomes actionable if the claimant can prove they suffer 'particular damage' over and above the damages of the public suffering generally. 

Future utility of public nuisance- R v Rimmington.

Remedies are injunction and damages.

Not often used. Can use for personal injury unlike in private nuisance.
