Differences between Eukaryotes and Prokaryotes

Bacterial cells are always prokaryotic, they are much simples in structure.

Plant, animal and fungal cells are all eukaryotic.

Differences between the two:

Prokaryotic cells are much smaller and...

- the genetic info is not enclosed in a nucleus

- the genetic material is a single DNA loop and there may be one or more small rings of DNA called plasmids.

- they do not contain mitochondria or chloroplasts.
