  • In 1939 over 200,000 teachers had attended a course ran by the Nazi Teacher League
  • The Nazi's changes the school curriculum
  • There were new types of schools called Napolas which trained the future leaders of Germany.

How did the Nazi's control the churches?

  • Hitler and the catholic church signed the Concodat in 1933. It was an agreement that the church would not get involved in politics and the Nazi's would not interfer with catholic schools.
  • The protestant church had a much closer relationship with the Nazi's and in 1936 they combined to form the Reich Church.
