If a rock has enough metal in it to make it worthwide extracting (ecnomically useable).

We call it a Metal ore

Metals  are an improtant resource but they are finite(will run out) resoure.They also use energy in the extraction process which can contribute to global warming.Metals are found in the earths crust usually as compounds with oxygen or sulphur.Unreactive metals found as elements are know a, 'native'(are metals found on their own)e.g.Glod.The rectivatiy metals will effect how its is exctracted.
