Maths unit A:Cumulative frequency diagrams

-Create a cumulative frequency column where you fill in the running total of the frequency

-On the diagram you then plot cumulative frequency instead of frequency on the y-axis

n=total frequency

To find the median of the data: n/2-go across from the value on the cumulative frequency diagram and go down and see the value on the x-axis, this is the median

To find the lower quartile:n/4, then follow the same steps as above

To find the upper quartile:3n/4, then follow the same steps as above
