Find the angles in a right-angled triangle.

?

Trigonometry

You can use the Trigonometry ratios to find the size of an angle in a right-angled triangle. You only need to know the lengths of two sides of the triangle.

Trigonometric Ratios:

sin- opp/hyp = SOH

cos- adj/hyp = CAH

tan- opp/adj = TOA

Remember the steps you need to do to answer a question are:

  1. Write out the SOHCAHTOA sequence
  2. Write out the ratios
  3. Draw out the right-angled triangle
  4. Label the sides of the triangle
  5. Decide what ratio to use
  6. Find the ratio and transfer the information to the equation
  7. Work out the equation with the ratio -1
  8. Round the answer
1 of 1
