Compound measures

speed = distance / time

density = mass / volume

pressure = force / area

Geometry

Area of a rectangle = l x w

Area of a triangle = 1/2 x b x h

Area of a parallelogram = b x h

Area of the trapezium = 1/2 (a+b) x h

sum of interior angles for a regular polygon = (number of sides - 2) x 180

interior angle of a regular polygon = (number of sides - 2) x 180/ number of sides

exterior angle of a regular polygon = 360/ number of sides

Circles

Circumference = c =  2πr = πd 

Area = A = πr^2

Volumes

Volume of a cuboid = length x width x height

Volume of a prism = area of a cross section x length

Volume of a cyclinder = πr^2h

Volume of a pyramid = 1/3 x area of base x vertical height

Pythagoras and Trigonometry

Phythagoras theorem = a^2+b^2 = c^2

sin (x) = opp/hyp 

cos (x) = adj/hyp

tan (x) = opp/adj

Probability and more

Compound interest = New value = original x (1+ percentage/100) ^time

Depreciation = new value = original (1- percentage / 100)^time

Percentage of an amount = percentage/100 x amount

Percentage change = new - original/original x 100
