Lady Macbeth siloliqy

"that i may pour my spirits in thine ear"- talking like the witches- suggests evil

"come you spirits that tend on mortal thoughs"- calling on spirits to help her

"that my keen knife see not the wound it makes, nor heven peep through the blanket of the dark"- hiding dark night, imagining she is doing the murder.

Macbeth's siloliqy

"will plead like angels, trumpet-tounged"- imagery 

euphemism- the word murder- it, assasination, blow, deed, taking-off, horrid dead

arguing why he shouldn't do it

the theme- what makes a good king- "Duncan hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office"

theme ambition- "no spur to ***** the sides of my intent only vaulting ambition"

"his virtues"- personification

Scene VII after sililoqy

"was hope drunk"- L. Macbeth- personification hope= ambition

"from this time shall i account your love"- saying one minute you'll love me, next you won't- being mean to Macbeth.

"i know how tender tis to love the babe...dashed the brains out"- L. Macbeth, pursuasive technique- she's saying i don't break promises

"if we should fail"- Macbeth's changed his opinion.

fake semetic field- mock, show, false, hide, know.

rhyming cuplets: mock the time with fairest show: false face must hide what the false heart doth know.
