Life After Death

• Death is not the end
• There is Heaven, Hell and Purgatory 
• Everyone faces particular judgement 

"Each man receives his eternal retribution in his immortal soul at the very moment of his death, in a particular judgment that refers his life to Christ: either entrance into the blessedness of heaven-through a purificationor immediate and everlasting damnation" - CCC1022

• The belief in heaven stems from the resurrection of Christ 

"He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the scriptures. He acended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father" - NIcene Creed

• Immortality of the soul - the physical body dies but the soul lives on and goes to either Heaven, Hell or Purgatory
• Not everyone will go to Heaven - Matthew7:21
• Heaven and Hell - Sheep and Goats - Corporal works o Mercy - Matthew 25:31

• The soul remains in the grave until God ends the world
• They believe in the Final Judgment - at the end of the world
• They don't believe in Purgatory

• There is no soul
• The only thing that will live on of you is your memory
• There isno empirical evidence to support the existence of the soul
• Exploration has shown that there is no heaven
