Keyboard
Function: to enter the keys or letters according to the key pressed
Benefits:
-A keyboard has all the keys available and a number pad on the side for it and is very small to use
-they are very cheap and versatile
Disadvantages:
-they can break very easily if spilled or thrown and are very cheap.
Mouse
Function: mimic the movement of the mouse into the computer as a Curser
Advantages:
-very cheap and small
-can handle small detailed movements
Disadvantages
-Can break very easily
-sensors might not be accurate enough
OMR (optical mark reader )
Function
can read marks off of papers example exam papers
Advantages
can continuously mark exam papers
are small
Disadvantages
can be very expensive

Graphic tablet
Function:mimic pens drawing into a photo editing program
Advantages
-very easy to use
-better precision the mouse
Disadvantages
-sometimes expensive
Sensor
Function: to detect stimuli in the environment such as light sensor, humidity sensor temperature sensors pressure sensors and barcode readers
Advantages
-can we use for many purposes such as washing machines and automated ovens
Disadvantages
-Can cost a lot
-need training to use properly
Joystick
Function: to mimic movement of the joystick in the computer
Advantages
-more precise movement in a mouse or tablets
-are used for many games
Disadvantages
-can be expensive
-are not made anymore
Remote control
Function: send signals to computer to do specific tasks such as controlling a TV
Advantages
-are used widely in almost every TV
-very cheap to get a replacement
Disadvantages
-they are very small so can get lost very easily
-they are fragile
Trackpad
Function:to mimic the movement of your fingers as the cursor in the computer
advantages:
small and versitile
easy to use
disadvantages
is expensive
it can be broken easelly
scanner
Funtion: To scan pictures or dcuments and send a digital copy to the computer
Advantages
can easly send or edit documents
allways have a digital copy to save in case of lose of phisical copy
Disadvanteges
Is expensive
a scanner can break very easly
Chip and Pin reader
Function: to acces bank card information using the chip in tthe bank card and a pin provided by the card holder
Advanteges:
Simple to use
Is widely used
Disadvanteges
If you forget our pin you cannot access your bank card
if someone else knows your pin they can use your credit card
MICR
Function: a magnetic ink charector reader which reads the text or numbers on the magnetic ink in newer bank cards.
Advantages
-Safe method of payment for credit cards
-Are widely used nowadays
Disadvantes
-Expensive
Chip and Pin reader
Function: to acces bank card information using the chip in tthe bank card and a pin provided by the card holder
Advanteges:
Simple to use
Is widely used
Disadvanteges
If you forget our pin you cannot access your bank card

Bar code Reader
Function:to identify the product code in the barcode and input it into the computer
Advantage:
Simple and versatile to use
relitivly cheap
Disadvantage
cannot read any barcode which is a little distorted
need software to work properlly
Web Camera
Function: to input images seen in the camera into computer
Advantages:
many laptops now have inbuilt web camaras
relitivly cheap and small
Disadvantages
the cheaper ones have less realution with blurry images
the higher quailty ones are more expensive and fragile
Microphone
Function: to input heard sound into the computer
Advantage
-very cheap to buy
-can speak instead of typing
Disadvantages
-can take alot of computer storage spave
-background noise can interfere
