People need different amounts of energy. This is because the rate of chemical reations in your cells (the metabolic rate) varies from person to person. Your metablic rate changes due to muscle to fat ratio, outside temperature and the amount of excercise you do. If you are in a cold climate you metabolic rate will increase to keep you warm. You will need lots of fat in your diet to supply the energy you need.
