Contour lines:

are map lines which are brown showing the height of the land. they connect points on a land surface that are the same elevation or height above sea level.

Spot heights:

give the exact height of a point on a map. they are shown as black dot with a number next to it which is the height above sea level in meters.

Layer shading:

is bands of colour are used in this technique to show areas of different height. ( Brown is usually for high ground and green is for low)
