Developmental states have not been attractive by western standards.

Even in soft/quasi-democratic states have had poor treatment towards citizens.

Anytime anyone starts to unravel orderly, rational society a stop must be made.

Human rights records have been poor – opposition is not tolerated.

They still treat people better than non-developmental states.
