Sad in Act 1 scene 1 - "I have lost myself; I am not here; this is not Romeo , he is some other where"

In love with Juliet - "o, she doth teach the torches to burn bright"

Uses religious imagery to kiss Juliet - "my lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss"

Feels fate against him - "fortunes fool" + "some consequences yet hanging in the stars" - suggests he wont take responsibilty for his actions

Beautiful - "the brightness of her cheek would shame those stars" + "the sweetest flower of all the field"

Romantic - "my bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep: the more I to thee the more I have, for both are infinate"

Independant - "my dismal scene I needs must act alone"

Brave - "go, get thee hence, for I will not away"

Impulsive - apologizes for being "too quickly won"

Strong - won't let herself cry "foolish tears" when romeo banished

Rebelious - marries for love against parents wishes

Forgiving - loyal to Romeo after Tybalts death

After meeting Romeo becomes more mature and independant as before - "its an honour that I dream not of" (about marriage)
