Animal and Plant Cells

What they have in common

  • A nucleus-contains genetic meaterial, which controlthe activites of the cell
  • Cytoplasm-contains enzymes that controol most chemical processes
  • Cell membrane-controls the movement of substances in and out of the cells
  • Mitochindria-realseas energy through respiriation
  • Ribosomes-creates protein

Extra parts of a plant cell

  • Cell wall-stengthens and provides that shape for a cell
  • Chloroplast-conatin chlorophyll for photosynthesis
  • Permanent cacuole-filled with cell sap to help keep the cell turgid

Bacterial cells and yeast

Bacterial cells

  • A single-cell organism
  • Has a:
    • Cytoplasm
    • Membrane
    • Cell wall
  • Genetic materila not in a nucleus

Yeast cells

  • Single-celled organism
  • Has a:
    • Cytoplasm
    • Membrabe
    • Cell wall
  • Unlike bacteira cells they have a nucleus
