ANIMALS CELLS CONTAIN:

CYTOPLASM - this is where chemical reactions take place

NUCLEUS - contains gentic information and controls the cell

CELL MEMBRANE - controls movement in and out of the cell

RIBOSOMES - make protein (protein synthesis)

MITOCHONDRIA - respiration takes place and provides energy

THE NUCLEUS OF A CELL CONTAINS THE GENETIC INFORMATION. this information is carried by GENES on CHROMOSOMES. CHROMOSOMES contain DNA (DEOXYRIBONUCLEIC ACID). dna is made up of two strands called a DOUBLE HELIX. before a cell divides it replicates all the dna and genetic information
