This is a galvanometer - used for measuring small electric currents.
There is then the large round edge box shape, with three rays of light being delivered to it.
This is a vacuum. The light is called the incident light. There are then two ends of the wires
leading to this vacuum. They are usually referred to as C and M. C is the curved electrode
and M is the flat electrode.
