Working in a franchise has its advantages and disadvantages, however I believe that it is better than creating your own business from the beginning for the reasons stated above. Even though you would get no say in any changes that could be made to improve the business, the franchise already has a (usually) good reputation which means you don't have to spend much time on advertising and getting the name out there. As well as this, staff are easily gained and you get free training and equipment to use so there is a higher likelihood of profit.
