	Evaluation Prison is for the most serious offenders for the most serious of crimes. Many people are put into prison for short periods of time which means they will not receive any rehabilitation yet they still endure the same after effects as every other prisoner. Society does not want to accept these people back into our world, making it hard for them to get jobs and sustain themselves. This is possibly one of the main reasons that reoffending rates are so high. Other sentences should always be considered first, unless custody is proportionate to the offence; murder for example.
