- Plate Boundaries
- Conservative
- 2 Plates (Often 2x Oceanic Plates) moving apart, with magma upwelling creating new land between them.
- Found at the Nazca Plate and Pacific Plate
- Volcanoes are very common here
- Collison
- 2 Plates (same type) collide and fold upwards. Sometimes a small amount of subduction as one plate can be more dense than the other.
- Can be found at Indian and Eurasian Plate
- Very Strong Earthquakes are found here
- Constructive
- 2 Plates (Same Type) moving in the same direction at different speeds, or opposite directions. Location of Fault Lines.
- Found at the Pacific and North American Plates
- Strong Earthquakes are found here
- Destructive
- Can be found at Nazca and South American Plate
- 2 Plates (one oceanic, one continental) colliding, and the oceanic plate is subducted as its more dense.
- Volcanoes and fold mountains are formed and found here (also destructive earthquakes)
