- Found in plants, animals, fungi and protists.
- A eukaryote is an organism made up of eukaryotic cells.
- Prokaryotic Cells
- Example: bacteria
- A prokaryote is an organism made up of prokaryotic cells.
- No mitochondria (respiration) or chloroplasts (photosynthesis)
- Some contain small rings of DNA called plasmids. They can replicate and move between cells so that genetic info can be shared.
- Do not have a nucleus- instead most genetic material is stored in the cytoplasm.
