        • After WW1 it was seen as unpatriotic to support the German beer manufacturers and industry
      • Religious Groups
        • Viewed alcohol as unchristian since it encouraged immoral behaviour
      • Businessmen/Industrialists
        • Believed alcohol created major health and safety issues in the workplace.
        • Also believed alcohol reduced the work rate and efficiency of employees.
      • Women
        • Believed alcohol caused domestic violence and child abuse
        • They were in charge of home purvhases but men were spending all the money they made working when drinking in saloons
        • Women weren't allowed in most saloons
