      • Those involved don't know they are involved therefore no Hawthorne Effect
    • The aim is to obtain some element of control while avoiding the artificiality of labs

      • Validity as people will act normally and their reactions will be real
      • Less artificiality
      • Reduces Hawthorne Effect
    • Disadvantges
      • Less control over variables
      • Limited Application - few situations can be adapted to be a filed experiment
      • Ethical Problems - No informed consent
    • Favored by Interpretivists
