- Grand Alliance wanted to discuss the group's planned invasion of Nazi occupied France.
- Stalin, the leader of the USSR, was keen to see this happen, as at this point the Soviet Red Army was the only army fighting the Nazis on land.

- USA & Britain agreed to open a second front by invading Nazi-occupied Europe.
- USSR would declare war on Japan once Germany defeated.
- Boundries of Poland would be mored westwards. Meaning would lose territory to USSR.
- Agreed an international body would be set up - settle future disputes between countries.
- This set up the scene for establishment of United Nations.
- Consequences
- Led to United Nations 24th Oct 1945
- League of Nations lasted 26 years and couldn't prevent WWII.
- At the conference, it was agreed that an International body would be set up to settle future disputes between countries.
- Led to the Soviet declaration of war on Japan 1945-1952
- At the conference, agreed that USSR would declare war on Japan - once Germany defeated.
- 6th Aug 1945, USA dropped atomic bomb on Japanese city - Hiroshima. This ended WWII.
