      • When Offred is reunited with Moira, she sees the rebel she idolised conforming to the system
      • Offred is only able to fantasise about wanting to escape or commit suicide or murder, she never acts on her thoughts
      • Her curiosity/freedom for desire ends in her downfall
      • She won't do anything to risk her life if it doesn't benefit her
    • She is emotionally compromised when she learns that her daughter is still alive
    • 'Where I am is not a prison, but it is a privilege'
    • 'I never looked good in red, it's not my colour'
    • 'I hunger to commit the act of touch'
