  • The Earth And Its Atmosphere
  • Four and a half million years ago volcanoes produced methane, carbon dioxide, ammenia and water vapour
    • Then the earth cooled down and water vapor condensed and rained causing the sea to form
      • Plants evolved and started to photosynthesis, taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere replacing it with oxygen
        • carbon dioxide was trapped underground in fossil fules or was dissolved in the ocean, further lower than periviously
          • now, nitrogen makes up 80% of the earth, oxygen makes up 20% and there is very little  carbon dioxide
            • factorys are causing more carbon dioxide, and this is damaging to the environment
