- Bronchodilators
- A substance that dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, decreasing resistance in the respiratory airway and increasing airflow to the lungs
- Most useful in obstructive lung diseases such as asthma and COPD
- Salbutamol is for treating sudden and severe asthma symptoms. It is a B2-agonist
- Salmeterol and Formoterol are taken routinely in order to control and prevent bronchoconstriction.

- Blocks the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in the smooth muscles of the bronchi in the lungs, opening the bronchi.
