- 1) Must RETIRE at 70.
- However, they can continue carry out administrative tasks after.
- 2) The Lord Chancellor removes magistrates, under s.11 of the Courts Act
- For:
- MISCONDUCT
- INCOMPETENCE
- FAILING to meet standards of BEHAVIOUR
- Or NOT attending sufficient SITTINGS
- FAILING to meet standards of BEHAVIOUR

- 3) Complaints were dealt with under the JUDICIAL DISCIPLINE REGULATIONS 2006.
- 4) They are INVESTIGATED by Local Advisory Committees and the Office for Judicial Complaints.
