- definitions
- war-involves fighting, behaving in a hostile manner, usually violence between two countries
- civil war- a war between citizens of the same country.
- e.g. English civil war
- violence- is aggressive hostile behavior .
- Just war- when war is sometimes necessary and justified.
- e.g. WW2
- pacifism- is being totally against the use of war and violence in any situation.
- e.g. MLK
- conscientious objectors- refuse to take part in military service to their conscience.
- holy war- a war fought for or with god, a war fought for religious reasons.
