  • A phobia is an irrational fear of something, someone or some object.
    • Phobias: types and definitions
      • Social phobia: the intense fear of being in a social situations. They tend to avoid social situations as they dislike social interactions.
      • Agoraphobia
        • usually worried about having a panic attack which leads to avoidance
        • Without panic attack is less common and spreading fear of the environment outside the person safety of their home.
      • Specific phobias
        • Things like blood phobics
        • Be triggered on immediate exposure
    • By irrational we mean unreasonable and illogical. There is no reason for us to fear it
