    • Too much water, the hypothalamus detects it and send info to the pituitary gland.
      • No ADH- the collecting duct is not permeable to water. It conserves new water and kidneys maintain water level.

    • Releases the hormone ADH (antidiuretic). ADH changes the permeability of the collecting duct in the nephrons and increases the concentration of urine. The kidneys maintain the water levels.
    • Too little water, the hypothalamus detects this and sends information to the pituitary gland.
