- Reaction
- Czech Head of State Eduard Benes protested but Chamberlain informed him that Britain was unwilling to go to war
- Most British people approved of the policy because it had appeared to prevent a war with Germany
- Politicians including Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden attacked the agreement, claiming the British govt. acted dishonorably and it had lost the support of the Czech Army, one of the best in Europe
